Just one, and the other three won't download. One of the Becker CPA exam prep downloads worked the other day. Not just a movie or book or album but something I could utilize for my career. I'm an accounting major and I'm trying to download Becker CPA exam prep from kickass.to. I'll need a pretty thorough step-by-step guide but I will be eternally grateful. Tried downloading extremely popular movie from kickass.to with thousands of seeds and no luck with it.Ĭan someone please assist me. I'm using AVG free antivirus software but I've always used AVG.ĭeleting resume.dat and with utorrent closed and then starting downloads again. That leads me to believe its not a Comcast problem but maybe a modem problem. Also, I went to parents house, where they have Comcast as well (with an aftermarket router) and all my downloads started up right away. One thing that's changed since my move is I'm now using a Comcast issued modem/router whereas before I was using a netgear wireless router. But I've made some attempts to fix the problem. The bandwidth, trackers, connections etc. I'm not very computer savvy when it comes to the technical stuff related to downloading. Then I move to San Jose still using Comcast, but now I can't download anything. I was living in Fremont with Comcast Cable, downloading for three years, no problems at all. After a week of trying every solution I could find online and no luck I'm writing this in hopes of assistance. There might be more, but since this issue has been going on for so long, I don't remember everything that I have tried.I just joined this forum because I'm yet another victim of constant "connecting to peers" status for all my downloads. uninstalling and re installing uTorrent.i have cleared all temp docs with CCleaner.Current, however, I cannot seem to select the Seattle, WA server which is the one closest to me and is usually available. as previously stated, I cannot do a speed test within uTorrent.using the main bit torrent client with the same torrent file with the exact same results.deleting the resume.dat in the uTorrent App Data folder.disabling the firewall and the network security.deleting and creating a new firewall exception for uTorrent.reserving the ip address for my computer.creating a port forwarding rule on my router for uTorrent.changing the router settings to only broadcast in all variations of the 802.11 signals (ie only a, only b, only g, a/b, b/g, etc.).changing the preferred channel from 11 to 5.changing the 802.11 signal on my Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 from b/g to a/b/g (n is always active).bypassing my comcast wireless router and connecting my netgear router.connecting the computer directly to the modem.ry disabling uTP? ( Set Preferences > dvanced > bt.transp_disposition to 5).Try lowering maximum global number of connections to 200? 100? 50? Lower? ( Can be found in Preferences > Bandwidth).Try disabling peer.resolve_country if it isn't already set to false ( Can be found in Preferences > Advanced).Try disabling UPnP and NAT-PMP ( Can be found in Preferences > Connection).Try disabling DHT ( Can be found in Preferences > BitTorrent).Try disabling IP resolving in the Peers tab's context menu.Try lowering bt.connect_speed to 4 or lower ( Can be found in Preferences > Advanced).Try lowering net.max_halfopen to 4 or lower ( Can be found in Preferences > Advanced). So currently, to get the torrent to start downloading on my computer, I have to download the torrent file two times, once on my computer and let it load and sit, and the second time on my tablet just to let the computer one start downloading.Īnyone have any ideas to fix this so that I don't have to download the torrent in two places? Upon looking at my computer while I was still trying to download from the exact same torrent from the exact same site, it started downloading. One day I was fed up and just downloaded uTorrent on my Android tablet and tried to download it on to there then transfer it later. Here's the kicker that I can't seem to figure out. The error is sometimes different, but most of them say that the socket is not connected. When I go to do a speed check through uTorrent, I always get an error on the speed test, but not on the port test. I have tried every single "fix" that I have come across on both on these fourms and on google and I can't seem to fix it. All of a sudden, one day, I loaded a torrent from my usual site and it now wont connect to peers even after days of just leaving it. Its either showing 'Connecting to peers' or Downloading 0.0 and it stays like that forever. Then I realized that somethings wrong I cant download any torrent from any website. I have been trying to figure this problem out for a very long time now. Yesterday when I wanted to download a torrent Ive noticed that it stayed on 'connecting to peers' status for a long time, but I left it like that for a day.
